Walk to your heart’s content
Enjoy a selection of up to 12 walks departing directly from the site including:
- The Humber Estuary and the RSPB Bird Reserve.
- Walk along the two canals.
- Tetney Blow Wells, walking onto Tetney and taking in a drink at the Plough Inn.
- Various footpaths leading up to Cleethorpes to enjoy the seaside. amenities, passing the Yacht Club and the ‘world’s smallest pub‘.
- The two sea Forts and see the shipping waiting to go up the Estuary as you look across to the Yorkshire coast (on a clear day, you can see Spurn Lighthouse, and on most days, view a larger tanker on the monobuoy).
Enjoy a meal at the local pub
Finish your walk with a well deserved drink or meal at the Crown and Anchor, and experience a little more of the traditional Lincolnshire life.
Other amenities (with a short car journey) include:
- Lincolnshire Wolds Railway.
- Grimsby National Fishing Heritage Centre.
- Waltham Windmill.
- Tetney Golf Club.
- Donna Nook seal sanctuary (from October to January annually).
- Visit various car boot sales (ask for details on site).
- Drive around the Lincolnshire Wolds area of ‘Outstanding Natural Beauty’ (starting just 3 miles away west of Tetney, taking in some of the lovely market towns).
- or simply relax on the grass next to your pitch or enjoy our picnic area.

Enjoy various water activities
The canals offer a variety of fun activities such as canoeing, paddle boarding and fishing (with appropriate license and consent).
